We are a registered charity working for the public benefit through bringing together academics, practitioners and industry to share knowledge and promote professionalism in the advance and application of technology in the landbased sector.
The Royal Academy of Engineering have published a report “Engineering a future outside the EU - securing the best outcome for the UK”. Early indications are that this has been well received by government. Several IAgrE members and Agricultural Engineering companies have contributed to this report. We have teamed up with AEA Training for Business who provide a comprehensive range of training courses aiming to provide all the essential non-technical skills for the industry. Most courses are aimed at supporting junior and middle management roles and cover topics including: selling skills, account management, customer service, management & team development, Health & Safety and Microsoft Software training. A new video has been produced by the French Scientific Agriculture Network and EurAgEng promoting all the benefits of working in agricultural engineering.
July marked the fourth annual Farm Safety Week, an initiative launched in 2013 aimed at reducing the number of accidents which continue to give agriculture the poorest record of any occupation in the UK and Ireland.
